Tokunoshima is a remote island located between Kagoshima and Okinawa Prefecture. Surrounded by beautiful ocean, this island is so small that you can drive around it in just two hours.

As for tea production, it is located at the southernmost tip of Japan.

Sofu is a cross between Yabukita and another cultivar known as “Inzatsu” 131, which is of Indian Assamica origin. So this tea has a very unique jasmine-like aroma and a hint of sweetness not found in other sencha teas. With an exotic, floral aroma, you can enjoy different profiles as you go through the first or second cups. Light on the palate and does not have a strong body and perfect for those who prefer a smooth and fragrant tea rather than a tea with a strong umami flavor.

Questions

We store our inventory in two locations: Japan and the United States. This is because we currently have a large customer base in America. In the future, we plan to expand our distribution centers to other countries. For details on shipping methods and delivery charges, please click here.

We strive to deliver our products to our customers as quickly and affordably as possible by stocking them in both Japan and the United States wherever feasible. However, for tea leaves that are sensitive to temperature and humidity, we ensure shipping from our temperature-controlled warehouses in Japan to maintain their quality.

Most of the teas we sell now are 15-30g. The reason is that we want you to enjoy exploring a variety of teas. We offer a multi-purchase discount on all teas, 10% for 3units and 20% for 5units at checkout.
If you want to buy a larger amount, such as 3oz at a time, please consider purchasing multiple units. With our multi-purchase discount, it will be more economical for your purchase.
